Evolution of a classic
AKG built their K545 headphones on a strong foundation. Their previous K550 headphones are well-known for their spacious sound and sparkling high-frequency detail. To please listeners who wanted a richer bass response and a smaller form factor, AKG designed the K545. These headphones maintain the clarity and wide soundstage of the older model, while adding more low-frequency punch. Their closed-back earcups are smaller than the K550's, making these more portable while maintaining excellent noise isolation, so all those musical details shine through.
Two cables for use with most smartphones
Not everyone owns an iPhone®, so AKG includes two cables to ensure near-universal compatibility for taking calls and controlling music. The K545 includes a cable for Apple® devices with a microphone and three-button remote with volume, track, and call controls. If you're an Android™, BlackBerry®, or Windows® phone user, there's a second cable with a single-button remote and mic for answering calls and playing and pausing music. Connect either cable's miniplug directly to your smartphone or tablet, or use the 1/4" adapter to plug into your home stereo.
Made for mobile listening
Comfort should never be an afterthought when it comes to headphones. The K545s were designed for long-term listening when you're out and about, with thick protein leather earpads and a lightweight, adjustable headband. Like other AKG headphones, they fold flat for storing in a backpack or laptop bag. These are an excellent solution for audiophile sound on the go.
